US improve anti-dumping duties in Chinese fittings

The United States International Trade Commission made a final review of the sunset on the 24th, and decided to continue to impose anti-dumping duties on China's and other markets to the United States for carbon steel welded fittings.
The US International Trade Commission issued a statement on the same day that such products imported from markets such as China, Brazil, Japan, China Taiwan, and Thailand will continue to cause damage to related industries in the United States within a foreseeable time.
According to the U.S. trade remedy policy procedure, the U.S. Department of Commerce has made a final review of the anti-dumping sunset review in February. The US International Trade Commission’s ruling indicates that the United States will continue to impose anti-dumping duties on carbon steel buttwelding pipe products in the above markets.
The so-called sunset review refers to the administrative review conducted when the anti-dumping duty on products is imposed at the end of five years. It is also called the expiry review. It will determine whether anti-dumping will continue to be effective, and whether its success or failure will affect the return of the enterprise and its products to the local market.
According to the provisions of the Uruguay Round negotiations, after five years of anti-dumping duties, the United States must abolish this taxation order unless the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission consider that the cancellation of anti-dumping duties will lead to a repeat of dumping or continue to cause damage to U.S. industry.
At present, the United States imposes an anti-dumping duty rate of 35.06% to 182.90% on the companies involved in China's exports of carbon steel buttwelding pipe products to the United States.
Despite recent signs of economic recovery in the United States, its trade protectionism has continued unabated. Since the beginning of this year, the United States has successively initiated trade remedy procedures for China’s exports of US oil drill pipes and drill collars, magnesium products, and flooring.
