Sanitary Y-Ball Check Valves
Kaysen offers the Sanitary Y-ball check valve to prevent backflow of processing media with size range of 1 1/2"-3", body material for SSS304 and S316L, PFTE Ball EPDM Seal Tri-clamp end, Y-Ball Check Valve primarily found in the Beverage, Chemical, Dairy or Tank Industries where an application is needed for a Sanitary Stainless Y-Ball Check Valve for product flow applications that require the prevention of reverse flow.
The working principle is when fluid flows through the Y-ball check valve, the ball is forced into the branch of the valve allowing full fluid flow. When the liquid stops, equalizing the pressure, the ball drops back into the seat, preventing back flow. Should reverse flow occur, the different pressure will cause the ball to seal firmly against the seat preventing leakage.
