Rotor pumps, also known as rotary lobe pumps, three-lobe pumps, or sole pumps, feature two lobe-shaped rotors that rotate synchronously within a casing without making contact.

As the rotors turn, they divide the pump chamber into several small, sequential cavities. The fluid movement follows a cyclic process:

At position A, only cavity I fills with the medium.
At position B, some medium gets trapped in cavity B.
At position C, additional medium is enclosed in cavity A.
At position D, cavities A and B connect to cavity II, releasing the medium to the outlet.

This repeated cycle enables continuous, steady delivery of materials. Thanks to precise tolerances between the lobes and casing, the pumped fluid flows in an uninterrupted stream, ensuring efficient operation.
